About Adam

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO #: 6954). I received my PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Ottawa in 2020, as well as a BA Honours degree in Psychology (2008) and an MA in Psychology (2010) from Carleton University.
I played competitive golf at the collegiate level for over 9 years and during that time became fascinated with the process of learning how to compete and deal with the pressure during high-level competition. My doctoral research was guided by this curiousity and focused on the links between competing under pressure and disrupted motor-skill performance. This research was funded by a federal doctoral grant from the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSRHC). I have presented my research at international conferences including the World Scientific Congress of Golf.
I am a Chartered Professional Coach with the Coaching Association of Canada (NCCP#: 6013228), and a former Olympic coach in the sport of curling. In my free time, I continue to coach high-performance curling as a passion project. I have previously consulted with Golf Canada, Hockey Canada, Volleyball Canada, and successfully completed the Coaching Enhancement Program funded by Own the Podium.
